Lawrenceburg 14s Take State Championship

The Lawrenceburg 14 year old Babe Ruth All Stars seized the state championship with a victory over Tullahoma this week.

   The final game was set for Tuesday in Fayetteville, however heavy rains resulted in a twenty-four hour rain delay. The team had to return on Wednesday to play the remaining 1 ½ innings. At that point, Lawrenceburg lead with a score of 4-1. The Lawrenceburg team landed two more runs on Wednesday, taking the state championship with a score of 6-2.

   The team will now make their way to the Southeast Regional Tournament, to be held in North Carolina.
